About me
My Story
Tennis taught me something that’s quietly shaped my whole career: follow-through.

In tennis, the point isn’t just the swing—it’s what happens after contact. The follow-through is where power becomes precision, where intention becomes direction.
That’s also how I approach events: it’s not enough to have a good idea, a beautiful stage, or a packed agenda. What people remember is how it lands—the story, the flow, the feeling in the room, and the moments that connect.

I’m Julia Shen, a multilingual storyteller with 12+ years of APAC marketing communications experience. I’ve spent my career turning complex business priorities into narratives people actually care about—clear messaging, strong structure, and purposeful delivery that drives engagement.
That’s why hosting events feels natural to me. When I step on stage, I’m not just “reading a script.” I’m shaping energy, pacing conversations, translating nuance, and making sure every segment serves the bigger story.

I host in English, Mandarin, and Japanese (JLPT N1)—and yes, I can switch tone and cultural context without losing meaning.

And I don’t only show up on event day.
I can help you build the story behind the event:
-
Clarify your event purpose and audience promise
-
Shape the theme, narrative arc, and run-of-show
-
Craft opening remarks, transitions, panel questions, and speaker briefs
-
Tighten the messaging so every segment connects
-
Align stage delivery with brand tone (and even help with visual/creative polish if needed)
-
Keep the room moving—calmly, professionally, with great follow-through
Because great events aren’t just well-produced. They’re well-told.

If you want an emcee who can host, manage the flow, and carry the story across languages and cultures—leave it with me.
